About
Jeff O'Hara founded Union Hill Farms in 1986.
Union Hill Farms opens just in time for Easter each year. We sell flowers and vegetable plants in the spring and provide the community with fresh produce in the summer. In the fall, we operate a free hayride to our pick-your-own pumpkin patch on weekends and fill the roadstand with homegrown apples, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, winter squash and much more. Union Hill Farms also features a variety of homemade jellies, jams and preserves.
While the supermarkets truck their produce in from all over the country, Union Hill Farms offers vegetables that have been harvested right in Denville.
We kick our year off with Easter Flower sales. Then, our season starts for good the first weekend in May. We begin the season with bedding and vegetable plants grown from our greenhouses. As the season progresses, we'll start to sell produce grown at our farm. We also sell other produce from the garden state, like peaches and nectarines. Make sure you stop and grab our daily picked sweet corn! Once, the fall comes around, we sell our apples and apple cider that was grown at our sister farm in Sussex County!
In October, we offer weekend hayrides to the pumpkin patch with pumpkins grown in Denville! All year long we sell eggs and fresh made cheese also made from our sister farm via Jersey Girl Cheese! We close down for the year the day before Thanksgiving. The Ayres-Knuth Farm Foundation sells Christmas Trees on our farm every weekend in December, and we still have some produce.
