I found a breeder right in our area and purchased two steer calves for Dave for his birthday. It was a surprise! Yes, he was very surprised. Especially since I had sneaked over to the ranch and halter trained the two little guys before bringing them home. One of them is still with us. He is our pet and mascot Rocky.

That was the start of it. Since then we have owned both Longhorn and Angus cattle. While Dave likes the lovely Black Angus to work with, we found ourselves preferring the Longhorn beef on our dinner table. After about 7 years of just raising Longhorns for our family and friends we decided that if we like it so much, others will also. So here we are…from our table to yours…healthy, tasty Longhorn beef!

We’re Kristine and David Beck, and we embrace a natural, wholesome lifestyle for ourselves and for our animals. We think living life the cowboy way, Longhorn cattle and good food are some of the most important things in the world, and we want to share them with you.
