When you arrive at this smallish patch just outside of Poteet, you are given a basket, a pair of scissors and a quick demo on how to pick strawberries without damaging the plant, and to ensure you choose the best ready to eat berries. Then you’re out into the field to do your own picking. Phone beforehand to make sure they have strawberries available for picking, as Poteet is a 40-minute drive from San Antonio.
