About

In late fall of 2010 we purchased 13 acres of land between Waxahachie and Midlothian, Texas. The following spring we started what is now Hidden Honey Farm. With a very limited budget and a mutual love for growing things, we plowed what is now called the High garden, a 75 ft x 150 ft grassy patch of ground next to the hen house. We planted 800 heirlom tomatoes, squash, melons and peppers. It was that first year we learned that free range chickens and ripe tomatoes = tomatoes with lots of holes.

That same spring we started our modest peach orchard with 25 trees, by fall they where looking beautiful and we were so proud, until we came home one day and they were gone! What had happened? It didnt take long to figure out. The goats had gotten out of the pasture and had eaten every one of our precious peach trees! Farming is so hard sometimes, we have long since replaced those trees and added a few more (75 and counting) but we still have to keep a close eye on the goats.

Tim & Dixie invite you and your family to visit Hidden Honey Farm, check in often to see whats happening, and bring a friend! We'll see ya at the farm!
