About
Welcome to Abma’s family farm, where everything homegrown is raised with love, picked or cooked daily, and served fresh. We’ve been part of the Wyckoff landscape for over 85 years! Nine decades and five generations later, we are still Bergen County’s only produce and poultry farm. We pride ourselves on our family’s tradition of hard work, honest values, and selfless service. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, we provide the community with the highest quality fresh produce, poultry and eggs from our own chickens, daily baked goods from our scratch bakery, homemade specialties from our kitchen, and artfully grown plants from our greenhouses.
Our 32-acre farm dates to the 1790s; the homestead and out-buildings are well preserved and kept in their original state. Our largest Dutch style barn, one of the few 200+ year old barns still standing in Bergen County, has been converted into a thriving retail market with a “scratch” bakery and a gourmet kitchen.
We live here, work here, and play here! Our family is blessed to live on the farm; it’s truly a unique gem in the local suburban and metropolitan area. We wear many hats, from collecting eggs to picking corn, ringing up customers and answering phone calls, fixing equipment, and creating events that share our home and life with the community.
In the past decade, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming the 5th generation of the Abma family into the world. As our family grows, we want to share our milestones with you!

Farming Practices
More than anything, Abma’s is about family – ours and yours – and sharing the unique experience of living and working on a farm with you and your children. During planting season, harvest season, and beyond, it is our goal to reconnect you with us (your local farmer!) through education, events, social media, and more. We invite you to personally share in our family traditions; everything from Sunrise Easter service, to picking strawberries in the patch, to enjoying a fresh turkey and all the trimmings at Thanksgiving, to sitting at a cozy bonfire with s’mores after visiting Santa. Year after year we plan events based on our own fond memories as children, and the memories we want to create for our children now.
